 Linhares da Beira

Located in Celorico da beira, Linhares da Beira has a unique artistic and architectural diversity. It was during the reign of King Dinis that the imposing castle, which today is the village's calling card, was built. In a short stroll, this museum village tells us its best stories and the importance it had in the past.

Sortelha

One of the best-preserved medieval villages in Portugal, Sortelha makes it onto this list with all due merit. With the village located within the walls, its location was once fundamental in the defense of Portugal. From today to the 13th century, when the castle was built, there aren't many differences. The streets and granite houses, which are now rural lodgings, bring us closer to the past.

After visiting Sortelha, if you have some time left, take a trip to Sabugal with Guerin. Of all its charms, we must highlight one of the most beautiful castles in Portugal.
